Blossom Bowls

These shallow bowls were designed with flower arranging in mind. Whether you are schooled in the Japanese arts of ikebana (flower arranging) or simply like to put blooms, buds, and foliage together in a fine group, these vessels will work for you.

There is a kenzan (pin frog) attached to the center of the bowl, so that flower stems can be inserted into it and stand well. Because the kenzan is attached, a tall arrangement is in no danger of falling over.

The "feet" on the bowl lift the entire arrangement visually, seeming to float on the surface on which it is displayed. Coupled with the reflection in the water in the bowl, the blossoms are showcased at their best.
