Gravy Goats


These were just spontaneously deranged animal heads around the pouring spout of a handled vessel, and the pieces got their titles after they were finished. I mean, what else could they be?

Both were fired in an anagama kiln, and you can see the melted ash, the textural variations, and the incredible colors that only woodfire can create.
